What you need to setup your own pi phone server!

• A server
  I use a VPS from BuyVM/FranTech starting at only $15/year.
• A phone number.
  I used IPKall which provides free DIDs.
  I am assuming that IPKall supports a maximum of a 2 hour phone call... because that's the longest anyone has called for. My assumption was wrong, the longest call so far has been for a single 238 minute call!
  IPKall will be discontinuing service as of May 1st, 2016. CallCentric still provides free DID service.

  CentOS seems to be the most supported for asterisk.

  I created a script to setup a basic Asterisk/FreePBX server on a virgin CentOS install
• Perl and the Asterisk::AGI module
  I used cpan and ran
install Bundle::CPAN
install Asterisk::AGI
install DBD::mysql
